Important Dates
CAWSYD26 is happening 9-15 March 2026, and you can now submit events for Sydney and satellite events around the country. Learn about the themes here.

Round 2 event submissions are due by February 20th, 2026. This is the final date that events can be added to the CAWSYD26 calendar.

For 2026 we have a new process for event submission:
- You design your event and upload it to our Luma platform as a DRAFT event
- You then make Climate Action Week Sydney a co-host with full access
- We will then review and provide any feedback before sending you an official approval email, which means you can proceed with announcing and promoting your event
All the event host information is available in our Event Host Submission & Info Pack. Please review this carefully during your event
For your event to be included in the full program launch in early February it must be uploaded in draft mode and sent to the CAWSYD team by the 31st Dec 2025.
You can still submit events after Dec 31st; however, events submitted later will be less likely to be included in the program launch and extensively promoted.
You can join our community WhatsApp group and share your event idea there, or join one of our monthly stakeholder meetings.
You can download our Brand Kit and approved logos here.
Please note you can only use our branding on approved events. You can create your event marketing materials and upload them to the draft event you are submitting, but only once we have approved your event will you have the rights to use our logos publicly.

We encourage events to be hosted all over Australia during CAWSYD26. Whilst Greater Sydney is the focus, we want to activate as much climate action as possible! Just indicate the location when you submit your event using the event submission process. We have seen partner events hosted in Melbourne, Newcastle, Adelaide and Perth in previous years and welcome all.
Events are hosted all over the Greater Sydney area, with satellite events in other parts of Australia. You will be able to filter by location on our event program page once it's live from Feb 4, 2026.
If you wish to sponsor us and help support our work and CAWSYD26, you can do so via our donation page.
Yes, we are a registered charity with the ACNC and all donations are tax-deductible.
We are curating and focusing on the 5 main themes and hope that your event can connect to one of them, but if not, that’s ok, you can still submit your event and we will review it.
Registrations will officially open from Feb 4, 2026 for the next Climate Action Week Sydney. People will be able to purchase tickets or register for free events from then onwards.
All submissions will be acknowledged by the Climate Action Week Sydney organising team. Successful and unsuccessful events will be notified of the decision with regard to their inclusion in the Climate Action Week Sydney program, and any advice in support of launching your event.
All approved events will be published via the Climate Action Week Sydney website (direct integration with Luma, our event management platform) and included in the publicised program.
We will be ramping up social media coverage for events as well. Please refer to the Social Media Promotion section of the Event Host Submission Pack to submit your event for official channel promotion.
You sure can. For Climate Action Week Sydney 2026, we're activating our whole ecosystem to make this initiative happen. Although we expect most event hosts to get their own events live, we can ask the community for support.
Please let us know what additional support you need to help make it happen.
We're open to all types of events, but we do want to ensure this initiative stays focused on our mission of climate action and is accessible to the whole ecosystem.
We won't approve events that:
- Are not about climate action
- Are harmful, derogatory or discriminatory to others
- May incite danger or violence
- Could portray climate action in a negative light
Any individual or organisation can host an event. Everyone has a role to play in climate action.
Climate Action Week Sydney is committed to diversity and inclusivity as expressed in your balance of speakers, acknowledgement of alternative perspectives, and consideration of accessibility of the in-person event and/or via live-streaming.
Climate Action Week Sydney is a hybrid program of events that provides a range of opportunities to attend in person or online.
Most events will be held in person in the Greater Sydney Region during the week of 9-15 March 2026. Some events will be streamed online or in other locations across the country, and you can register and attend at your leisure.
Event organisers are responsible for any costs associated with hosting an event. If the event is sponsored or ticketed for revenue, a portion of that money could be paid to Climate Action Week Sydney not for profit entity, Climate Action Foundation (CAF). For any corporate organised events we do value a donation or sponsor contribution to CAF in support of our platform and promotional activities.
