Ocean Youth Leaders chat with Film Director, James Cameron

Events all week
Three Ocean Youth Ambassadors had a chance to chat with James Cameron recently about his passion for deep sea exploration, as part of the Australian National Maritime Museum’s ‘Challenging the Deep’ exhibit. James Cameron is a world renowned film and documentary maker, best known for the Avatar series, and his climate series Year of Living Dangerously, which brought together a cast of the world's best known climate scientists with famous politicians and actors to tell the stories of real people from across the planet. For this series Cameron enlisted the talents of Hollywood celebrities like climate change activists Matt Damon, Jessica Albert, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Harrison Ford. Ocean Youth Ambassadors Angelique Greentree, Axel Tkatchew and Isla Campbell were privileged to share a couple of hours with the director in an intimate Q and A session to share intergenerational knowledge and stories about their shared passion for the ocean, and learn about the mystery of the deep sea. Join this engaging session, which will include a Q&A conversation and a chance for you to ask questions with the youth leaders. This will be a premiere event, with thanks to the OceanEarth Foundation and the Australian National Maritime Museum, Sydney. Be Part of the Conversation! This special event will feature an interactive panel discussion where YOU can ask questions, hear firsthand from the youth leaders and leading ocean scientists, and be inspired to take action for our blue planet.
